Peterpan and Parrots

I went to the new M Cafe at Grand Indonesia with my boyfriend yesterday. We chose to come there on weekdays because the queue on weekend is crazy as hell. We pretty much were shocked that there wasn't any queue yesterday. How luckyyy.

I ordered red velvet and rainbow cake - all accompanied by Strawberry Magnum ( I forgot their fancy names. pardon me). I personally think that the cakes (both cakes) tasted the same. Only regular sweet cake with cream cheese and sprinkles on top. The ice cream? You can get the ice cream at small shops and minimarkets and still tastes the same as this one. Overall judgement, they only sell the vibe and the ambience rather than maximizing the menu. Sorry Walls.

However, I like the overall ambience of the place. It is very.. How to say. Modern Vintage? You will see lots of artsy elements in this place - and very chocolate-y feeling through the wallpaints and the wooden floor. The indoor place was a bit packed, while the outdoor place was small and bright. I think it will be awesome at night. 

For my outfit, I wear Basic Peterpan Collar Shirt (Custom made by my Grandma), Hot Pants with Parrots Print, and Ballet Flats.

Impromptu

On Monday me and my classmates went to a photo studio and learned about some lighting techniques. It was a pretty damn short course (approximately only for 45 minutes) while the time to reach that place was like an hour due to Jakarta's unpredictable traffic.

After the brief lecture from my photography lecturer - Mr. Raja Siregar (Yes, the noted fashion photographer currently works for Elle Indonesia, google him, guys! he's on wikipedia already), our class was given a chance to actually try to operate those lighting stuffs etc. It was a fun class actually! Wish we could have had more time to practice rather than only in the theory.

However, I was pointed by my friends to be the 'impromptu model'! It was actually surprising because before me, there was another friend of mine who modeled for the rest of the class. These are two of the pictures that my friend took (because the rest of them are pretty blurry)..

Singing My Blues

Okay this dress was supposed to have a navy blue color but due to the bad lighting, the dress looked a bit purplish haha. I had a digital photography assessment for final project to make an editorial photoshoot. I'm having a tough tough week! Phew!

Black and White Mayhem

Me and my friend (Fiona) decided to dress up to college. Our fashion mood were lifted by seeing Anastasia Siantar's blog :D 

For my outfit, I was in the mood of black and white for the whole week. So then I matched a loose plain white shirt with a custom-made tulle skirt (sorry I couldn't get the detail of the tulle fabric...) Anyway, I topped it up with a gilded flower shaped brooch and my lucky wedges. 

Because I did this at my college's hallway, my friends were curious and decided to join the photo party. Here are some pictures of my fellow fashionistas!

So apparently I discovered this pretty black asymmetrical skirt inside my mom's closet this morning. I just had the thought of making a new post using this haha. Have to say thank you to her, I suppose. Then I matched it up with my pink cropped tee from Padu Padan, black wedges from Pierre Cardin, vintage bag (forgot where I got it haha) and finally topped them up with some stone bracelets.
